SHAMROCK RUN!

On February 7, 2026, Sigma Lambda hosted the 33rd annual Shamrock 5K. We are so proud to share that the chapter raised an over $79,000! Thanks to everyone’s support, 80% of the proceeds was donated to Integrea’s Early Connections Program, and the remaining 20% donated to Prevent Child Abuse America through the Kappa Delta Foundation. We were especially excited to welcome back our local Girl Scout troop for their third year at Shamrock! They joined in their very own Fun Run as part of earning their Healthy Living Badge. A huge thank you to sister Dorothy Verner and the entire Shamrock Committee for planning such a meaningful, fun-filled day. And of course, endless thanks to the 1,153 runners, donors, sponsors, and supporters who helped make it all happen - we couldn’t have done it without you!

Save the date! The 2027 Shamrock Race is Saturday, April 3!

Girl Scouts USA

In the 2025-2026 school year, Sigma Lambda had so many fun times with local Girl Scout Troop 7047! The chapter’s goal is to instill confidence and foster meaningful relationships with these amazing girls by hosting events and activities to do with the troop.

This year, the chapter hosted a Paint Party in celebration of National Friendship Month, a pep rally for the troop before an Auburn women’s basketball game, and participated in a Trunk-or-Treat at Our House for the Girl Scouts and volunteered at the troop’s cookie booths across the community. The troop also joined KD for the Shamrock Run where they made posters and handed out cookie samples to the runners.

As part of our ongoing support, each chapter member purchased three boxes of Girl Scout cookies, one of which was donated to the military. We always look forward to the special moment when the Girl Scouts personally deliver the cookies during chapter. It’s truly a highlight of our year! We are so excited that we were able to donate over $6,000 to Troop 7047, which helped send the troop to camp this summer!
