TO eACH POTENTIAL NEW MEMBER…
Welcome to Auburn recruitment, and let me introduce you to Kappa Delta!
My name is Mary Jack Gordon, and I have the absolute honor of serving as the Vice President of Recruitment and Marketing for Kappa Delta this year. I have had the privilege of learning from the incredible women who held this role before me, and never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that experience would lead me here. Getting to steward this year’s recruitment process has been one of the greatest blessings of my Auburn experience, and I could not be more excited to welcome you into this season.
I grew up in the Loveliest Village on the Plains, right here in Auburn, and there was never a doubt in my mind that this was the place I would call home during college. Freshman year brings so many exciting unknowns — meeting new people, experiencing a new environment, growing into who you are, and learning things about life you never imagined before. Auburn is a place filled with endless opportunities to discover yourself and where you belong.
The moment I walked into Kappa Delta my freshman year, I knew I had found more than just a group of friends — I had found a home. Over the past Three years, this chapter has shaped me in ways I never expected. The women in Kappa Delta have poured into me with encouragement, wisdom, grace, and unwavering love. They have celebrated my happiest moments, carried me through difficult seasons, and filled even the ordinary days with so much joy and laughter.
This sisterhood is rooted in authenticity, kindness, and constant support. These women become the people who stand beside you through every season of life, and that is something I will forever treasure.
My hope for each of you is that you walk through recruitment boldly, humbly, and confidently, knowing that there is a place where you are meant to belong. I will forever be grateful for Kappa Delta and the women who have shown me what it means to be part of something bigger than yourself.
I am SO excited for you to experience this week and all the sweet moments ahead. My prayer is that you find a home where you feel seen, celebrated, encouraged, and deeply loved.
“Don’t let your beauty consist of outward things like elaborate hairstyles and wearing gold jewelry or fine clothes, but rather what is inside the heart—the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.” 1 Peter 3:3–4
Come as you are, because we love you already.

The Sigma Lambda Chapter of Kappa Delta is looking forward to meeting the young women participating in recruitment In 2026. Please note that our gpa cutoff is 3.4.
although national kappa delta does not require recommendations, Auburn kappa delta requires one recommendation form per Potential New Member. Recommendation and Legacy Introduction forms are available on the national Kappa Delta website. National Headquarters and Sigma Lambda encourage all writers of these recruitment tools to use online forms, rather than mailed in copies. After submitting a form, you will receive an automatic confirmation email that includes a completed copy of the form that was just submitted.
Be sure to visit the Auburn University Panhellenic page for the most up to date information about recruitment.
