Hello beautiful! I am so glad you’re here! My name is Mary Emma Talley, and I am beyond excited and humbled for the opportunity to serve as the VP-Recruitment and Marketing for Kappa Delta. When I applied for this position, I was thinking about each and every one of you. As we get closer to the busy season that is recruitment, my main goal is to get to know and love you for exactly who you are! My team and I have been working so hard to make this week the best, and we’re so excited for you as you begin this next chapter of your life.
Recruitment is amazing and unique in so many ways, and you will learn so much through this process. The best advice that I can give you is this: be exactly where your feet are and be unapologetically yourself. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for you to show your beautiful self. You get to meet and love hundreds of new people all while finding your new home!
I challenge you to take this time to get to know yourself, others, and the Lord more each day. I never would have thought that a girl I met in line during rush would soon be one out of my eight roommates for junior and senior year. Trust His plans, trust His timing, trust everything about you that He has designed because not only are you fearfully and wonderfully made, but He has plans to prosper and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
This chapter has blessed me more than words can say. From day one, these girls have celebrated me, supported me, and loved me no matter what. We laugh, cry, travel, try new things, and grow together and I could not be more grateful for this incredible group of women. I love them to pieces and I know you will too! I am praying for each and every one of you and I can’t wait for this next chapter!

The Sigma Lambda Chapter of Kappa Delta is looking forward to meeting the young women participating in recruitment In 2024. Please note that our gpa cutoff is now 3.4. Recommendation and Legacy Introduction forms are available on the national Kappa Delta website. National Headquarters and Sigma Lambda encourage all writers of these recruitment tools to use online forms, rather than mailed in copies. After submitting a form, you will receive an automatic confirmation email that includes a completed copy of the form that was just submitted.
